My name is Marissa Christian, and I’m the designer behind Wink Jewellery. I started Wink Jewellery in 2011 whilst on maternity leave with my daughter, Lucia. I’ve always been a creative person, and loved making jewellery, but working as a Chartered Accountant left me exhausted at the end of each day, so it wasn’t something I ever had the energy to pursue. Having a baby was life changing, to say the least. I saw my life in a whole new way – it was too short to waste doing a job that I wasn’t passionate about. I decided then that I wanted to own my own business, so I could do something I loved, while being able to stay home with my daughter.

I love to create jewelry that is fun and unique but still very wearable. I have always had a passion for creating pieces as far back as the age of 10 or 11. I studied craft design with an emphasis in jewelry at Drake University, The University of Iowa, and Iowa State. After graduation I was able to work for a contemporary goldsmith for over 12 years learning about gemstones and perfecting my technical skills.
I love to work with sterling silver along with yellow and white gold. I also love to use gemstones in my pieces accented by different textures and finishes.
