Pearl jewelry from every corner of the world.

Sophie Breitmeyer for Winterson

Pearls always give nobility to the image of the wearer not depending on the situation, either being worn on the evening or during the daily routine. This idea was being laid as the basis by Sophie Breitmeyer, the designer who created a wonderful and refined collection of pendant and earring for Winterson.

Sophie Breitmeyer used Japanese Akoya Pearl, one of the very first pearls to be cultured in Japan. Luxury and at the same time simple these items are very beautiful. 18ct gold, pink rubies, blue sapphires, garnets make the perfect ensemble implementing this collection. In my opinion these jewels will please even the most exacting customers. Read More »

The Story of a Jeweler: Marissa Christian from Wink Jewellery

My name is Marissa Christian, and I’m the designer behind Wink Jewellery. I started Wink Jewellery in 2011 whilst on maternity leave with my daughter, Lucia. I’ve always been a creative person, and loved making jewellery, but working as a Chartered Accountant left me exhausted at the end of each day, so it wasn’t something I ever had the energy to pursue. Having a baby was life changing, to say the least. I saw my life in a whole new way – it was too short to waste doing a job that I wasn’t passionate about. I decided then that I wanted to own my own business, so I could do something I loved, while being able to stay home with my daughter.

My favourite materials are pearls – however I found that they are often seen as old fashioned and conservative by many younger people. I experimented by combining pearls with a wide range of materials to make exciting and modern pieces that would appeal to a younger age group. Read More »

The Story of a Jeweler: Jennifer Lawler Designs

I love to create jewelry that is fun and unique but still very wearable. I have always had a passion for creating pieces as far back as the age of 10 or 11. I studied craft design with an emphasis in jewelry at Drake University, The University of Iowa, and Iowa State. After graduation I was able to work for a contemporary goldsmith for over 12 years learning about gemstones and perfecting my technical skills.

I love to work with sterling silver along with yellow and white gold. I also love to use gemstones in my pieces accented by different textures and finishes. I am always inspired while creating my pieces, forming the metals and what might work well with the certain gemstone I am working with. I am also inspired by the architecture all around me, bringing in angles and shapes that are very contemporary. Read More »
